PRESS CLUB’S FACE THE NATION EVENT
TO FEATURE NATIONAL BEAUTY EXPERTS
Fundraiser at Neiman Marcus will Benefit Media Scholarships

Nationally renowned beauty experts and local media stand-outs will be on hand to offer tips on skin care, color, tools and fragrances at the Press Club of Metropolitan St. Louis’ third annual Face the Nation beauty event.  The event is a fundraiser that supports the Press Club’s Media Scholarship, which is awarded to outstanding college students majoring in all areas of communications.
Attendees will enjoy delicious brunch bites and sip mimosas on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at Neiman Marcus.  Tickets are $50 per person and are tax deductible.  Face the Nation is open to the public.
“The theme of year’s event is Getting Camera Ready because everyone feels anxious when they find themselves in front of a camera.  Guests at Face that Nation can expect to learn tips and tricks for looking their best on film and in everyday life,” said Amanda Cook, event chair.  Aisha Sultan and Alice Handelman are advisory chairs.
“I am thrilled to have St. Louis Post-Dispatch fashion editor Debra Bass and KSDK-TV anchor Jennifer Blome as my honorary co-chairs,” Cook continued.  “These two talented women, who have spent their careers looking good on camera, are going to share insider advice that the rest of us can apply.”
Joining Bass and Blome will be national beauty experts from exclusive Neiman Marcus product lines.  The presenters will showcase the latest products and tools at four different learning stations:
Kaylee Phillips of Kate Somerville Skin Health Experts will demonstrate the company’s exclusive Dermal Quench ultimate hydration therapy.  This oxygen treatment is nicknamed the “Hollywood Glow” among Somerville’s star clients, who consider it a must-have before they step on the red carpet.  This cool, refreshing therapy is designed to plump the skin and instantly reduce fine lines.
Experts at the Chantecaille counter will treat attendees to a preview of the latest colors and trends in cosmetics, and then show how to use them to play up natural beauty.  Chantecaille focuses on using a high concentration of botanicals and incorporating aromatherapy to make each product uniquely luxurious.
Roberto Ferreira is a national educator for CREED luxury French fragrances.  Ferreira is usually only available to work with by-appointment customers or select CREED staff members, but will make a special appearance at Face the Nation to share his knowledge.  He will discuss the personal qualities of fragrance and how this special, finishing touch can have a real impact on how we feel.
Finally, product experts will present Tools of the Trade, where attendees will learn about how the latest tools from brands like Clarisonic, Quasar MD, and Sedu can be used to give a polished appearance.
In addition to gaining valuable knowledge, attendees will receive exclusive product samples and a beautiful Neiman Marcus gift bag.  This is the third year the store has hosted Face the Nation.
Tickets for Face the Nation may be purchased online at www.stlpressclub.org or by sending a check payable to the Press Club of Metropolitan St. Louis, P.O. Box 410522, Creve Coeur, MO  63141.  Call 636-230-1973 for more information.
