Thursday, April 29 when Press Club sponsors a special tour of the St. Louis Public Library's main branch downtown. The Library is closing in May for an extended period of renovation, and Press Club members and their guests will be among the last to see some of the beloved building's historic spaces before they are gone forever. Liz Reeves, director of development for the St. Louis Public Library, gives
Press Club members a look at what to expect after the two-year renovation of
the main library, which is about to begin. The renovation is expected to
cost seventy-nine million dollars.

Jean Gosebrink, archivist for St. Louis Public Library special collections,
gave a presentation about the library's media archives collection at the
April 29 Press Club forum.
