David Lipman, died Thursday, July 31, 2008. He was retired managing editor of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and served the Press Club as chairman of the board (1982-94), was a Catfish awardee, and dear friend. The following introduction of David was made by Press Club President Alice S. Handelman when he recieved a Lifetime Achievement Award this spring from Missouri Professional Communicators. Media Halls of Fame Dinner
on June 7

The St. Louis Media Halls of Fame recently inducted 22 new honorees. The third annual gala was held June 7, 2008, in the Khorassan Ballroom of the Chase Park Plaza Hotel.  The Media Halls of Fame are located in the St. Louis Mercantile Library at the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
